Proportional solenoids on hydraulic valves use electronic amplifiers to regulate the variable power through the full range of control. Intelligent proportional amplifiers can also provide ramp time settings to limit acceleration, preset potentiometers, and fault detection features – all designed to make your hydraulic system more flexible and operate with the highest levels of reliability and uptime.

Calibrated and optimized for corresponding valve families, Rexroth amplifiers reduce the need for field adjustments and maximize your performance.

The Proportional Valve Controller/Amplifier supplies a solenoid valve with current proportional to an input control (4-20mA). Other models accept 10 K potentiometer, 0-5VDC or 0-10VDCcontrolsignalinputs. The design utilizes high frequency switching output (PWM) to provide a 2 Amp DC current to the valve. A superimposed dither reduces friction effects and increases the linearity of the valve. Maximum and minimum current, ramp times, dither frequency and amplitude can be adjusted to match the application. Short circuit and reverse polarity protection are built in. All settings are independent and non-following. The unit accepts 9 to 28 VDC power supply voltages. Designed for the rugged mobile environment, it carries an IP65 or IP67 protection rating and CE certification. DIN coil-mount and remote mount card-style units are available, complete with cable.
